Hip Hop Productions – Free Community Program
February 8 @ 4:00 pm - April 12 @ 6:30 pmFree
10 week program, running every Friday 4.00pm – 6.30 completing on 12/04/2019
This free community Hip-Hop Productions Program is sponsored by Blacktown City Council for anyone aged 13 & over and is a fun way to:
- Learn to create, deliver and record your own RAP song.
- Learn how to DJ.
- Learn how to HIP HOP dance.
At the end of the program, participants receive a copy of their recorded track.
The program is designed to help youth make positive choices one verse at a time. We bring awareness to social issues that many youth deal with on a daily basis and workshop how to be the best a person can be through rap music, dance, good times and a great attitude.
This completely interactive program has been extremely successful in building self confidence, team work and helping youth express themselves while learning fun new skills. Participants are encouraged to address their own challenges and life experiences through writing and performing their own songs in a fun, creative and supportive environment.
In case of bad weather, we will relocate to Mount Druitt Library.
“We were involved in a variety of fun activities during the program, including learning a hip hop routine, having a dance battle, acting out scenarios that may happen in the future and creating a rap as a group that addressed some of the issues we deal with in our lives. This was an incredible program and the experience was one to remember.”
